Have you seen Whiplash yet? You're a damn fool if you haven't. Jazz fan or not, cinema fan or not, this film is a rare, mesmerising great. This is an original version of one of the songs that create the backbone for the film.
Today in 1963, Duke Ellington, Max Roach and Charles Mingus released "Money Jungle," a brilliant album that includes the now-standard jazz number, "Caravan." Very smooth.
