I watched My Dinner With Andre last night. It is basically a 110 minute conversation between friends that haven't seen each other in while, covering lots of meaty topics, this is the closing one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7BI3bvNKdU Lots of food for thought, which I always like :) The film closed with Satie, not this particular one, but these are the Satie pieces I enjoy playing, so you're getting these... :)

The exquisite and absolute beauty of Modernism. Happy holiday folks.

Always been a favourite, very wistful.

Next in my TIMJ swansong is Erik Satie's Gnossienne #1. Loved this piece of music since it was featured on James Burke's holistic science/social history "Connections" series.
This sums my mood up nicely
