Probably haven't listened to this track since, oooooh maybe 1984? Funny how at the time it seemed such a break from the sounds of the day, but now seems a slave to its influences. I'm sure Dave is a lovely guy (top name!) but the album really needed a junkyard dog on bass to funk it up, and they so should have held on to Clem Burke from the earlier collaboration efforts. Anyhoo. This sounds way better on my analogue antiques than it does on any of the thin digital youtube versions I can find. Jam on.”
