after a full weekend of music at bunbury music festival, seeing Father John Misty was by far the biggest highlight for me. After missing him last time he was in town I'm so happy I got to see this wonderful artist live! #bunburymusicfestival #fatherjohnmisty
Come for the line "Save me, white Jesus", stay for the canned laughter. The perfect performance.
The sad and sublime (sublimally sad?) 'Bored in the USA'. Musically different from 'Born in the USA', it shares the same corrosive sarcasm that characterizes the Springsteen song. Because the most searing social critique always comes from the belly of the beast ;-)
The best thing I think I've seen all year. Astonishing performance, incredible song.
