Number 3 in #VoodooZombieWeek King of Afrobeat from the homeland of the Gris Gris and progenitors of the blues. This is more about political subservience than it is grave dodging brain eaters but the trail is warm. I defy you not to dance.....'zombi-oooo!'   9

#ElectionJam A short series of musical accompaniments to the UK GE2015. Listening is not an endorsement. Some are tenuous at best. Number #6. Glastonbury 1984, when it was a cultural & political event and jumping the fence was a distinct possibility. It rained badly but the sun came out on Sunday when Hugh Masekela played. The festival closer was arguably the most political of artists, Fela & the Egypt 80. Music as a weapon, don't be a zombie.   7

Still one of the greatest all time jams, from the master of Afrobeat. Let the heatwave begin!
