More influential on young-musician-to-be me than the fuzz bass sound was the drum programming. Yes, I said "drum programming". I love how it builds from a simple, quiet kick-hat-snare-hat tick-tock beat to a funky, r&b; style break beat with the old over compressed room mic sound. Don't get me wrong, the fuzz bass sound is pretty dope, too, but it's nothing without that drum-programming.
