#copyright Number 8. Bridgeport Music sued The label and group Public Announcement for their song D.O.G. In Me - released in 1998. They claim their refrain "Bow wow wow yippee yo yippee yea" was an homage to George Clinton as well as their frequent use of the word "Dog" in low register during the song. Well the courts didn't think it was an homage an awarded Bridgeport music $88,900 in statutory damages...again did George Clinton get any of this money?? Also as a side note Public Announcement is the group R Kelly started with - but by the time this song came out he had moved on to fame and fortune and they had another lead singer. Track is listed below as well as a track with R kelly...Both are kinda not good.

It's like this video is a mash-up of Cell Block Tango and Soul Train...nothing makes sense, but it was a visual document of the times. Great song though--first heard George Clinton when I was in middle school and it's impossible not to get in the groove of this jam. Happy #funkyfriday!
