Listening to Blacklisted by Neko Case and had a vivid flashback to hearing her for the first time on late night radio when I was about 16. She played this song with her Boyfriends and it was amazing. I would have jammed something lovely from Neko but none of my choices where jammable, I am cursed with the curse of the un-jammable jams.

Strait had such swag in his prime. Here with his hot band blending country and jazz like the best Haggard. Whitey Shafer's lyrics like they sprung from a rustificated Cole Porter, they are that clever. "Alison in Galveston somehow lost her sanity/and Dimples, who now lives in Temple got the law lookin' for me" Who thinks up rhymes like that?
