I'm not feeling any less sour.
The saddest lyrics ever written. Gilbert O'Sullivan has always been underrated as both a songwriter and performer - probably because of unusual costume choices in his early career and his later swerve into the 'middle of the road'. However, he has a wonderful way with lyrics - 'Alone Again (Naturally)' is delivered with such poignant grace it can make me feel rather tearful. Number 3 on the UK Top 40 and number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, in 1972...
I don't know why but this is my jam this week.
After six wonderful weeks at home, my husband is on his way back to Shanghai now, so it's time for me to (re)adjust to being alone again--not so naturally.

This is one of my go to songs. It has a lot of meaning to me personally. My son heard it so often that it became one of his favorites too. So, this is for my son
