We finally watched "The Other One: The Long, Strange Trip of Bob Weir," and despite being a lifelong Grateful Dead agnostic, I can now see how indelibly their esthetic is part of any American '70s kid's cultural heritage. We will get by, indeed. :)
Took me years to 'get' Jer & the Dead but it was worth the wait. The most bootlegged band on the planet.
