Midnight Mushrumps (excerpt) by Gryphon

“I only saw Gryphon once and that was just before they disbanded in the late 70s. Prior to the gig I was speaking with a chap who turned out to be their tour manager and I said I hoped they play Midnight Mushrumps. After the band's opening number, Richard Harvey (keys) looked in my direction and said they had had a request for his favourite piece of music from someone with impeccable taste and although unrehearsed they performed it with perfection. Happy days.”
