FB tells me today is tobin sprout's birthday, and we were just talking about him over the weekend, AND then i was watching some tv show yesterday and one of his solo songs came up. seemed a sign to post. i should do one of his solo songs ("cryptic shapes", "last man well known to kingpin", and "maid to order" were favorites in college) but i dunno, this is the one that feels right today. someone told me he's the one who wrote "goldheart mountaintop queen directory" which surprised me. also, y'all should check out the oil paintings he did in the early '90s if they're still around online. pretty great, and that photorealist style of painting usually ain't even my bag.
