A *cavalcade* of 80s metal stars in a massive "We Are The World" song, complete with a huge string of solos!
Another great song called "Stars". Wikipedia says that this project started with Jimmy Bain and Vivian Campbell from the band Dio, who wanted more heavy metal musicians to get involved with relief to Africa in the wake of the 1980's famine there. They wrote the music, and RJD wrote the lyrics and melody. Which parts are your favorites? On vocals, I like Geoff Tate from Queensryche, Don Dokken, and of course, RJD, but I think Paul Shortino from Rough Cutt (the guy in the hat) nearly steals the show. Found out he's still performing in Vegas. On guitar, there are so many good little solos, it's hard to judge. Yngwie, George Lynch from Dokken after he gets warmed up - Brad Gillis from Night Ranger has I think the most memorable part. Love it!
