“having a nostalgia trip like whoa as i learned this morning taking pictures, the chicago spin off of pittsburgh's hurl, actually did put out an album of the material i saw them play live at WRCT that spring that's burned into my college memories (it was inexplicably a japanese import or some such, limited to 300 copies, only became available nearly 10 years later, and I ORDERED THE LAST ONE vfhqb hqrbv!!). so all those pittsburgh college memories are flooding back (those shows were some of the first times i was ever in smoky bars as a green and confused young'un, waking up for class the next day with my jacket smelling and ears ringing..worth it, fond fond memories). as i recall, this is pre-noah leger, and if i'd had my way i'd have maybe jammed "the advantages of temporary baldness" instead (it's not on YT though), aaaand they were always a "live band"...but i still like it. i wrote jencik a starry-eyed fan letter on myspace once (heh) and he wrote back.”
