Amazing stuff. Livening up a dull work day. Thanks @gavgore.
Metal is one of my least favorite genres of music, but I love this guy Igorrr. Granted, he blends many genres, and he borrows as much from breakcore styles of electronic music as he does metal (in fact, his style has been dubbed "baroquecore" by some, as you will soon understand), but it's still notable that something with growly screams and wall-to-wall guitar would inspire me to buy an entire album of it. Tendon is without a doubt the best, most interesting track on the record, but it's also one of the most interesting pieces of music I've ever heard. Many have tried to blend genres like this before, but you usually wind up with something as convoluted and desperate as Repo! The Genetic Opera. No, guys, this is the good stuff...if you can wrap your mind around it.
It's like a train wreck. Described as the “ultimate combination of pagan folk, jazz, dance, techno, classical, hardcore and death metal” and "like Mike Patton, Amon Tobin, Aphex Twin and Kerry King made an album together. Except it’s all one guy."
crazy. thanks to jon b for this.
