Straying from my usual patch, but I really love this song: the melodies, harmonies, changes, everything.
There are few songs that will make me stop in my tracks and sing at the top of my lungs. This is one of them.
So much to say! This song was very important to me in the late 80's when I desperately needed to hear the line "the less I seek my source for some definitive the closer I am to fine." There are questions we are not going to answer (and questions some of us should not ask). And I am struck by the symmetry between this quite recent performance, and the one on Letterman back in the late 80s (it's on YouTube) about 25 years earlier. They played it straight up on two guitars, no one else, much like this. It's perfect that way.

I've not been getting any TIMJ notifications in the last week or more. Just realised that was so, so it's time to make a choice. I've never seen Indigo Girls and hope they might tour UK this year. If you don't know them, have a listen and find out why I'm keen to catch them live.
