Not only is it #FunkyFriday but this also happens to be my 400th jam so instead of picking out some obscure gem I thought I'd post a funk classic - maybe THE funk classic - and the record that more than any other made me fall in love with funk music. Like many others, I was a hip-hop fan who had heard the Clyde Stubblefield break from this sampled on a hundred different records. Eventually I knew I had to seek out the track and hear the break properly. I only wanted to hear those few seconds in the middle at first but when I heard the whole thing I was hooked completely, and my love for the music went from there. Anyway, here I am 400 jams deep, I hope you've enjoyed them. I know I've enjoyed so many of yours. I love TIMJ! Great people, great music - what more could you want from a website?? :-)   31
