Cry Baby by Jemini

“The biggest singing competition in the world happens Saturday night so I've decided to make this week all about #Eurovision. There's so much to choose from over 1,400 tracks but I've decided to kick it off with a nil-pointer: 2003's infamous UK entry, Cry Baby, which was sung so horribly out of tune that a song by duo Jemini which could've easily placed tenth came last and essentially ended any chance of stardom these two could've had, even though it was all Gemma's fault. The last I heard of these two, she worked as a receptionist and Chris Cromby, the pair's more talented half, was working in a men's clothing shop. Yikes. They are adamant that a technical fault was the reason Gemma sounded like her toe'd been stepped on and that's easy to believe, seeing the other live performances of this. And actually, after a while the screechy, earache-inducing vocals become endearing and pretty fun. I actually really like it now. Included in this is THE big Eurovision failure. Enjoy.”
