Jim Pepper was a native american, jazz saxophonist. This particular song actually got a lot of airplay on progressive rock stations in the 70's. Give it a listen... this guy could play the sax!
Starts with a Native American chant and takes in rock, jazz, space rock - the works. And, boy, Jim can sure hammer that Sax.
