What a pity there don't seem to be more recordings of Hendrix playing an acoustic guitar. I remember when I first saw and heard this being fascinated with how his (very big!) fingers fluttered across the fretboard, and how the guitar line weaves in and out of the vocal line, sometimes being in straight unison, at other times contrasting and being almost percussive. Just goes to show what an amazing blues player the man was - as if any one was in doubt.
