Great storytelling in a song. Country star/sausage king.
A tale of Mining and Bravery, featuring a man who didn't say much but had a heart of gold. Sadly, it wouldn't sound as good in a South Yorkshire accent. Is that because of our conditioning?

There's something to be said about classic country story songs... And that thing, in the case of Big Bad John, is that it moves me more than some books I've read. I still can't listen to it without getting choked up a bit.
When I was small I used to play this at my Gran's. Cheesy, but good cheese.
