was posting at askmefi about rock ladies with ungirly alto singing voices. perversely wound up reminding me of favorite songs with maligned female vocals that shine like tiny diamonds. "peach, plum, pear" might speak more immediately to me, but this song is perfect really. "all these ghost towns, wreathed in old loam" and "when all we wanna do/is chew and chew and chew", yep.
