I think one of the great things about John Cage is that his work is still challenging and progressive even today. So many of his contemporaries seem tame by comparison as the culture of sound has grown and developed, but JC is still as thought provoking and wonderful as ever. Look how he takes the notion of being laughed at on national television! What an absolute king.
