I don't quite understand why, but I love Johnny Cash's covers of other songs.
C s for Cash - It took me a long, long time to appreciate Johnny Cash. I kinda lumped him into a C&W; bracket - and avoided listening. Years later it became apparent I'd made a terrible mistake. I spent most of one summer listening to as much stuff as I could lay my hands and ears on. I loved it. His voice was still fantastic right up to the end. I love this cover of Gordon Lightfoot's song. . . " If you could read my mind, love - what a tale my thoughts could tell."
