She's Mine by Juicy Lucy
“Remember Juicy Lucy ? One of the first acts signed on Vertigo Records in the late 60s, featuring former pedal-steel wizard Glen Campbell from The Misunderstood and a young singer gifted with a otherworldly voice, Ray Owen. Soon after they published their first LP (the one whose very ugly sleeve showed a even uglier chick laying down in pieces of fruit), Ray quit and founded a new band of his own, Ray Owen's Moon, who recorded a LP standing out as one of the finest artefacts of 70s heavy progressive rock, before joing Atomic Rooster and Killing Floor. Twenty years ago, he built up a new Juicy Lucy line-up featuring very talented musicians backing him in the truest british heavy blues-rock tradition, Spencer Blackledge on drums, Rosie Woodland on bass and extraordinaire Michael Jarvis on guitar, who also produced the band's latest recordings. Here's some recent stuff recorded live in my hometown, where I've been lucky enough to jam with them once, careful it's hot and it smokes !”
