This has more going on than it seems. The first verse is what I've been focused on lately: he actually does a reasonable job of summarizing why he's misunderstood and doesn't get credit for what he's done. And then it shifts into acknowledging how ridiculous that sounds, given how overexposed he is -- it's literally a joke. Then, at the end, just noises of running and screaming. The joke's over.
