From headlining Glastonbury to playing Victoria Park in their home town of Leicester and now embarking on a massive sell out UK tour, 2014 really has been Kasabian's year. However with all their achievements as a live band this year, which as arguably the best around is to be expected, the commercial and artistic success of their fifth album, 48:13, has been a little overlooked. Not only did 48:13 become their 4th consecutive UK number 1 album but it also contains some of their best work to date, particularly in terms of Serge's songwriting. A perfect example of this is the brilliant Glass which sees Serge lament on the impact of modern technology on life and humanity. For my jam this week, here's a hypnotic acoustic version for you to enjoy!

One of the best bands in the world, certainly of this decade. Beautiful albums, terrific concerts before tens of thousands of fans, but also marvelous acoustic performances in studios. I'm very fortunate to see them live in Amsterdam on November 6th at the Heineken Music Hall. I saw them at the same venue a couple of years ago and they were fantastic. I'm certain that this time it will be no different. This song is from a recent studio gig in Toronto. (for my Dutch Classics channel go to @dutchzaphod)   10

When did we stop believing? When did we stop marching? When did we stop chanting?
