I take back the bad things I said about Kasabian's recent stuff. Their Glasto set was great and I am OBSESSED with this song off their latest album...
Has had this buzzing round my head since the gig on Thursday. The light show and backdrops at this gig were out of this world. Yeah, I know that's 3 Kasabian tracks in a row for me. Trying to convert the unbelievers amongst us
And Number 3 on my Albums of the Year list is 48:13 by the mighty Kasabian. Whether you love or hate Kasabian, this has been their year. In the last 12 months, the Les-Tah lads have played a monumental homecoming gig in Victoria Park, triumphantly headlined Glastonbury and released one of, if not their best album to date. Part way through the recording of 48:13, Serge got that call from Michael Eavis to say 2014 would be the year that Kasabian would finally headline Glastonbury. The result is an album that is full of intent, with Serge, Tom & Co. out to prove to everyone they deserve to be on the big stage. Serge has stated that his goal for 48:13 was to blend together his three main loves: 60's rock and roll, hip hop and electronica. He succeeds and from start to finish the album is an absolute blast, perfectly encapsulating the energy and swagger of their live shows before sprinkling some laid back, more reflective moments on top. Enjoy!
A una semana del Corona Capital 😎
