first season of snl, fell in love with his style
I first heard Leon Redbone back in the 1970's. He looked like a Frank Zappa tribute act, but there the similarity ended, a truly unique talent. I recently contacted his management and found that he has retired from touring, which sounds a bit ominous? I hope he has just decided to sit on a porch and drink mint juleps. I saw him once at the Clapham Grand, magical. God Bless Leon Redbone!
