R.I.P. Mark Bell, who (along with the rest of LFO) helped shape the sound of modern electronic music, starting in the early '90s. The fact that this album was released by both Warp (Aphex Twin) and Tommy Boy (De La Soul) should help orient your ears to the electro / hip-hop crossovers that were still happening in that era. Bell went on to work with Bjork (everything from "Homogenic" on) and Depeche Mode ("Exciter").
