I sold an original of this record to the DJ in The Twisted Wheel in Whitworth Street in Manchester, the same weekend that I bought it for £5, it having cost me 8/3d. It was a must-have track back then. We used to thumb it up for the all-nighter every Saturday, then spend a few hours in Rowntrees on Sunday morning before thumbing home again for work on Monday. Great days!!
Still remember 'Saturday "All Niter" DJ Bob Dee' giving me a fiver for this on a Saturday way back in history, I had it and he wanted to play it. I think the band were from North Carolina (not really sure). It was a great cover of the Wilson Pickett brilliance though. #hopeyoulikeit #ktf
