Never really heard his stuff except for the rock n roll hits. This is exceptional and is up there with Otis and Jimmy Ruffin for plaintive singing. This is what proper r n b music sounds like.
In my opinion, Little Richard's finest ever record, as featuring a 23 year old James Marshall Hendrix.
