No artist in 2013 made me more excited for the state of modern music than Lorde did and her debut album "Pure Heroine" is the best I've heard since "xx". Tennis Court was going to occupy this spot in the countdown, but then my brother reminded me of Ribs and it was no contest. The beautiful sparseness of the production coupled with the breathless anxiety of the lyrics is just haunting. #bestof2013

Jam number 8 of my favorite songs from favorite albums of 2013 (in no particular order)! And I saw her perform at #NotSoSilentNight too! For the largest show she has ever played, she handled herself extremely well and put on a great performance . #Bestof2013 #LORDE #PureHeroine
