Youngest daughter of actress Jane Birkin, Lou Doillon cancelled her January tour of Australia following the sudden death of her eldest sister Kate Barry in Paris on December 11 last year. Whilst having been a model and appeared in French and English art-house movies since 1988, it was only a year ago that New York based Doillon began publishing her music; she sounds a little like Chrissie Hynde in this song from her English language debut album, "Places". I prefer this video http://youtu.be/N3gr-lVmVTM with its magnificent Scottish landscape scenes, but both are excellent recordings.
