And in at number 9 on my albums of the year list is Asymmetry by Mallory Knox. On this their second album, the Cambridge five piece turn making rock anthems into an art form, lacing each of the 14 tracks with blistering guitar riffs, big sing-a-long choruses and Mikey Chapman's raw, powerful vocals. Key tracks include Dying To Survive, QOD II and the 7 minute epic, She Took Him To The Lake. However as I couldn't have any of them as my jam (damn copyright restrictions!) here is the lead single off the album Ghost in the Mirror, which this week charted at number 29 on Zane Lowe's 100 Hottest Records of the year.
