Mazzy Star - California. I took a road trip in late 2013, and was considering this song for a themed mix CD of songs about the trip shortly afterward. There just wasn't enough songs to put something solid together.

Switching things up, now. At #25 on our countdown, we have the return of Mazzy Star! Quite honestly, picking a track off of this that wasn't Common Burn (due to that originally being released in 2011) was really hard because this is just such a phenomenal album. But California is achingly beautiful and thoroughly deserves to be on here, anyway! #bestof2013   1
