..Essentially this is a pop song about fucking. Meg Myers has been my new favourite female artist ever since i heard her track 'Monster' last year. Her fierce yet vulnerable voice, always managing to juggle the pretty and ugly with some of the most descriptive lyrics around. This is her new single and it's pretty stunning..starts with a low ominous menancing bass line before exploding with this epic soaring piano. Love this.
There's something haunting, and hauntingly beautiful, about this song and its sheer rawness. But it still feels like there's something else beneath the surface, like it's holding back, tantalizing.
This song has that torment I miss so much from 90s alternative music.
