Hurley is a woefully under appreciated national treasure. Been at it for many decades; creating wonderfully odd landscapes peopled with troubled werewolves, fatty liver kooks, lupine hipsters, feckless adventurers,cancerous dogs and the drunks that love them. He can also write a simple melody that strums your central nervous system. Profoundly visceral trickeration. This is one of the most achingly beautiful songs I have ever heard, and its as potent in its second incarnation as it was in its first. Friends, Hurley could even write a song about used snot rags that would bring a tear to your eye.   1
