To France by Mike Oldfield
“Loved this in the 80s and it has been in my head for the last week. Also love(d) Maggie Reilly. It's one of those songs were I just can't explain why it means so much - it just does. I could listen to this every day till I die and never get tired of it”

This theme was dedicated to Queen Mary Stuart of Scotland who never returned to France, where she was really happy, staying prisioner in his homeland, where she felt like a foreing till the day of her execution.
I remember this great song from my childhood. Maggie Reilly has such an angelic voice.
found this little epic sitting in my hdd one day.

Not quite Tubular Bells but a reminder he can actually write great pop songs #mikeoldfield
I'm not entirely sure if I like this or the Blind Guardian version better. Both are pretty epic.
