At age 9, Mississippi John Hurt taught himself to play the guitar "the way he thought the guitar should sound." The result: a brand new, fast, pick-less, syncopated fingerpicking style. I love it! I also like when I can use "syncopated" and " fingerpicking" in a sentence.
