Who would have guessed I'd place two jams from "Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt" on this site? And yet, here we are. Ever since I picked up the piano sheet music for this piece (arranged by the ever talented Animenz), I've had incredible appreciation for it's complexity and solidity. It's simple chords have all the nuance of pop, but the vocals of Aimee B. draw from a deeper ravine. Something that the present state of pop has no chance of touching. This is incredibly passionate, and that's nothing to say of the instrumentation. The band has the rare circa 2013 Bruno Mars/Daft Punk quality of transporting you to a different decade, a different time. Exactly what this time is is hard to pinpoint, but this has classic Miami club music written all over it. Fittingly enough, it could muscle its way right into a classy strip joint. The song has little to no flaws and deserves much more respect from the anime and music communities.
I'm amazed that a song this cool would accompany an anime so delightfully trashy.
I can't believe there's a new [inserts title of anime that's getting some sequel I think is trash but people don't think so/fight me] anime but we're still not getting (and probably never will) a sequel to Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt.
I haven't updated my jam in a while so here i guess.+ the soundtrack for this show is so good it's frustrating
