Such a wonderful song. Some really great lyrics at play here, especially the part about heaven and hell.

Continuing my Modest Mouse Top 25 countdown: 17. Ocean Breathes Salty The opening sentence brings up so many feelings about people I have lost, and thinking about who my friends have lost. The sense of optimism is quickly dashed by the likely reality about the presence of an afterlife, but I find that view refreshing. The guitars shimmer and soar for most of the song and I like Brock's vocal delivery. Sometimes, the best parts of a song are the placement of the silent parts. That's true here for the abrupt ending. Everything has been said and it simply ends.
