Mulberry Lane was one of the many musical obsessions my dad passed down to me - alongside Prince, the Beatles, Eminem, Michael Jackson, and a lot of late 90s-early aughts country music - and I still remember how weird it was to discover they weren't a big national act. Part of the problem was probably I couldn't tell them from the Dixie Chicks at that age. In any case, this song, at least, still holds up.”
