There’s a lot behind my decision to finally pick up a copy of The Black Parade after all these years. It had sort of been a sour point of my teenage years, feeling like it was music I wasn’t allowed to listen to as a “guy”, and my cousins (both ♀) got to enjoy. So there’s a lot of emotion to listening to this album that I didn’t expect to hit me, listening to it now post-transition. Kind of another little step on the road to just getting to be me all the time and enjoy whatever it is I enjoy.
