BBC 4 showed a wonderful documentary on Nat last week, led by his widow, with Tony Bennett, Johnny Mathis and many other music luminaries verbalising his talent. For me he was the first singer I so desperately wanted to see live, a treat I never enjoyed. The day of the crooner is long gone, but do you agree with me that Nat "King" Cole's voice transcends time?   1
