Lobotomy by Neon
“From Neon Neon to the Italian band Neon and this from 1981.I don't know much about it, but the thought of having some of my brain scraped away doesn't really appeal to me: Lobotomy (Greek: λοβός lobos "lobe (of brain)"; τομή tomē "cut, slice") is a neurosurgical procedure, a form of psychosurgery, also known as a leukotomy or leucotomy (from the Greek λευκός leukos "clear, white" & tome). It consists of cutting or scraping away most of the connections to and from the prefrontal cortex, the anterior part of the frontal lobes of the brain. The procedure, controversial from its inception, was a mainstream procedure for more than two decades (prescribed for psychiatric and sometimes other conditions) despite recognition of frequent & serious side effects. Whilst some patients experienced symptomatic improvement with the operation, this was achieved at the cost of creating other impairments, and this balance between benefits and risks contributed to the controversial nature of the procedure”
