Heresy, I know, but realized recently that Movement is not only my favorite New Order album, but also my fav Joy Division album.
Any Portlanders going to see Peter Hook this Thursday? It's an early birthday gift that I get to listen to one quarter of my favorite band play the entirety of two great albums: "Power, Corruption and Lies" and "Movement." I'm also not-so-secretly hoping to hear a smattering of Joy Division tunes. Maybe someday the other three quarters of New Order will make their way to Oregon... but until then I'll be overdosing on the bass line.
