Lord, how I admire this woman. Look at her. Listen to her. Nina Simone is completely in control -- of the song, of herself, of the other musicians on the stage, of the audience. She never raises her voice above a gentle murmur, and she captivates everyone who sees or hears her; she is the center of the world here. She's capable, tranquil, strong, sexy... everything. I'm taking notes from her.
I've sure had a week. I arrived in Hungary on Tuesday and have yet to take my body out of the Eastern Time Zone. But I don't want to sleep. I want to see it all.
