"A little more every day falls apart and slips away. Well, I don't mind. I'm okay. Wish it didn't have to end this way."

Sublime, dark, and delicate. Trent at his best. The more I listen the more I love it.

The saxophone on this sticks in my head like nothing else.

I am loving Reznor's saxophone solo on here.

Five years after The Slip, Nine Inch Nails has returned with the most sonically diverse album since The Fragile. Album closer "While I'm Still Here" feels like the opposite of mid-album track "Everything"; here, the protagonist reflects on his choices as his time draws to a close, ending his journey with a melancholy "Stay with me / hold me near / while I'm still here" as the ending drones of "Black Noise" swallow up the rest of the song - but not before a defiant and unexpected baritone sax riff to tie the two tracks together.
