the first song R ever put on a mix tape for me--he'd been recently obsessed with it--where i did that thing, you know, where you're in love and trying to see everything from a different perspective, the beloved's (so you can get even closer to them, the way you're drawn to), and so you are as giddy with having a new set of eyes to look through the world with as anything else. call me sentimental, sure.
